Via ferrata del Masarè
Rifugio Paolina – Passo Vaiolon – Roda di Vael – Via ferrata Masarè – Rifugio Roda di Vael – Rifugio Paolina
This circular trail starts at the Paolina hut (Rifugio Paolina). Follow the slightly ascending path no. 552 in northerly direction till you reach the turn off for the Vaiolon pass (Passo Vaiolon). Head on in easterly direction along the steep path no. 551 which takes to the start of the Ferrata del Masarè on the Vaiolon pass. The well equipped via ferrata – equipment (harness, karabiner, helmet etc.) absolutely necessary – takes to the summit of the Roda di Vael. Descend along the via ferrata which follows the ridge of the Masarè. At the end of the ferrata descend in easterly direction to the Roda di Vael hut (Rifugio Roda di Vael). From there head on along path no. 549 to the Christomannos Monument and then on path no. 539 back to the Paolina hut (Rifugio Paolina).
